Summary

The current research interest revolves around the inorganic and organometallic chemistry of the alkaline earth metals, gold, the lanthanides, and zinc. The research ranges from the structural chemistry of rare earth clusters (including crystallographic problems) to organometallic compounds. This includes a detailed knowledge of X-ray structure determination. Beside synthetic and structural problems my research interests are focused on the application of newly synthesized compounds. Thus, the physical properties of the cluster compounds, e.g. the magnetism, and the application of the organometallic complexes in homogenous catalysis are investigated.
